The WSP series spin down sediment filter is the first line defense to your appliances. It protects and extends the life of your standard filters by removing the large dirt, sand, and rust particles before they reach the rest of your plumbing system, including water softeners and expensive appliances. The WSP series is flushable and reusable. It is recommended to flush it regularly (daily or weekly), depending on the water usage, sediment amount and the hardness level. However, as hardness tends to form hard scale that clogs the screen, simple flushes may not be sufficient. When necessary, remove the stainless steel cartridge and clean it with a brush and/or soak it in vinegar. I-spring’s customer support is exemplary and I am quite pleased with the filter system that I purchased. I also love the fact that the customer support isn’t outsourced to a foreign country. I bought the i-spring jumbo spin down sediment 50 micron filter because of the design and re-usable filter. However, after we installed the system we soon realized that the micron size was too small for our needs. I reached out to the customer support to learn if they had any recommendations. I had the pleasure of working with Sean from customer support who took a genuine interest helping find a solution for my situation. He took the time to review my water lab results and other material that I presented and concluded that I needed a larger sized micron screen and sent me a 200 micron filter. The design of the product is solid. I have the automatic flushing version. I do wish that there was an option programmed into the settings where you could drain the water longer than 90 sec intervals. The product did come with a manual knob but we had trouble getting that to work so we have been using pliers to turn open the valve. I will be recommending this product to a couple of my neighbors. Thank you I-Spring and Sean! 08/22/25 Update After 3 years of using this product it is still holding up well. Recently the o-ring shrink which caused the system to heavily leak. I went to the website to order a replacement o-ring and discovered that they were out of stock due to tariff issues. I called iSpring and had the pleasure of talking to Michele.
