I live in a very hot desert area where it gets up to 115 degrees in the summer. The old gas range which was also LG and worked very well took so long to boil water and heated up my 1500sqft home pretty good causing my AC to work overtime. This new induction range boils water fast and dramatically reduces the amount of heat doing it. All of my kitchen appliances are LG so I wanted the handle to match my refrigerator and thankfully LG still had the model with the curved handle that matched my 4-year-old refrigerator. I was debating on whether I should get the sleek all digital control model or the old-style knob model and I picked the knobs and I am very happy I did. This induction range heats up so fast and changes temperature so fast that digital controls would be a nightmare. The old school knobs are so easy to reduce and raise the temperature fast. This is my first induction cooktop. Didn’t know what to expect, but I got to say, it is wonderful. It heats quickly and cooks evenly at different temperatures. The controls are easy to see and use. It has different settings, like simmering that works great. I really like the configuration of the controls as well. Did I mention how nice it looks on our counter, picture attached. When I got the cooktop it came with all the necessary instructions and warnings including how not to scratch the ceramic top. Advice: Don't try to use a gas line that's longer than 36" (1m). Both a 3-prong and a 4-prong electrical wire were included. This oven looks really nice & cooks extremely well! I use Convection Mode mostly & it automatically reduces temperature which is nice. Bake Mode is what I use for desserts, breads & so far I’m happy with that. I have used the air fryer & comes with a basket. Improvements: menu panel is VERY hard to see in the evening- the print is too light. This really needs to be backlit, imo. (The LCD display that shows temp, etc is very bright so I’m not sure why the menu display is so dull) Also it’s missing add a minute button, when you want to add more time to cooking. The oven light goes off after 1 minute, which makes no sense if you want to check on your food while cooking.
