It came in a box and we out it in the bed and cut the plastic and right away it flipped open so fast and hard and it opened up and flattened. It is comfortable but not that firm tho. This variety blue bungalow rose pattern rug would be perfect in just about any room. We used ours in the camper and it was perfect for play time. It did get a little muddy and cleaned up nicely!
