We assembled this sideboard console last night, and overall we are really happy with it. The faux travertine finish gives it a modern but warm look that fits beautifully in our dining area. It looks much more expensive than I expected, and the curved edges and sleek handles give it a very clean, well-designed appearance. Once fully assembled, it feels sturdy and solid, especially with the metal support bar running across the inside for extra stability. Assembly itself was fairly straightforward, and the instructions were easy enough to follow. One thing that actually worked out in our favor was receiving two of the smaller boxes, because one of them had damaged doors inside. Thankfully, the extra box saved the day. My biggest complaint is definitely the hinges. They feel very cheap and extremely stiff, and the predrilled holes for mounting them were too large. When attaching the doors, the screws pulled right out of the wood almost immediately. I was able to fix the problem using toothpicks and a little wood glue, but that should not have been necessary on a brand-new piece of furniture. Exactly what I wanted. I was fortunate enough that my church has a toolbox ministry and several men who do things for seniors and two of the guys came and put this together for me. They had absolutely no trouble although for two of them, it did take them almost 3 hours. But it’s put together perfectly. There were a few screws missing but they had some to make up for those. Love it! It’s not 5 stars because it came in a little damage just on one end and because of the back board did not fit and I have to cut it down and turn it side ways still leaving a gap but not noticeable since it’s up against a wall. Assembly is easier with 2 people for some parts. A drill is not necessary but it will make the job go by faster I didn’t use one. I found the Nicole 75” sideboard video on YouTube that was helpful in assembling it. Since I needed a little visual guide to put it together. To make sure the door hinges goes on straight make sure the pre drilled are even. The last door is off from that and the other were even. Overall it looks expensive, it’s easy to wipe down but don’t recommend for a family with small kids or pets from what I can tell from the corner it’s a thin top layer of the black coat then particle board and it probably can’t handle drinks being set on it or scratches etc..
