Bought this double screen door because we were screening the deck at our lake house. We have extra wide steps up to the deck and needed a door wider than the standard 32 or 36 inch. Listing said for width less than 68" it could be modified, so we decided to go for it. I was surprised, the instructions were complete, clear, and easy to follow. (So often you get the skimpy badly translated ones.) With a little help from a neighbor we got 2 sets, front and back of deck, installed in about 3-4 hours. Hubby is a metal fabricator, not a carpenter, but he said it was pretty easy once he understood their system. I would say it's a 2 person job, unless you're a really good carpenter. We have 1 side set as a stationary sidelight, only opening the other side. We'll put some planters or knick knacks on the steps in front of the stationary side. We have looked everywhere for a low piece that wouldn’t block the windows and has deep storage to declutter our small kitchen space. The assembly took me about two hours then my husband jumped in the next day to adjust the doors. Note that if you decide not to use the shelves rest them on the floor so the doors don’t invert when they close. They have adjustable soft close hinges and each piece has one removable, adjustable shelf. The box is about 7ft long and weighs 97 pounds so keep that in mind. It would be very helpful to have a person with you to assemble this because the boards are long and heavy and you had to hold them in place while putting screws in.the back panel comes with all of the screws but only 6 are predrilled. You don’t absolutely have to use the rest if you don’t want to. It’s pretty sturdy and definitely holds a lot of stuff so if you need low profile storage this may be for you.. Andrea. This is such a beautiful piece. I love the color and quality. It’s very sturdy and looks much higher end. You have to play around with the hinges to make sure the cabinets close correctly without gaps, but a little patience goes a long way. It’s a perfect piece to store so much. Our TV cabinet arrived quickly and was packaged very securely. It comes in two boxes and it is very heavy, so you might need two people to carry it in. The instructions were good and all the pieces were there, which isn't always the case, so very happy with that. It is not an easy assembly, but there are moving parts and a lot of smaller pieces, so that's not a surprise. At one point we needed two people to stabilize a section while tightening some screws, but for the most part, it's a one person job taking maybe 3-4 hours if you're not experienced. The look is nice. We got the light oak color and it's a little lighter than I expected, but looks good. The most important part is that it works perfectly. We haven't installed the TV yet, but the remote works and it slides up and down effortlessly. The only slight minus is that the remote has no instructions or directions. We figured out the up and down which is the most important thing, but there are buttons and illuminated numbers and we have no idea what they do. All in all, very pleased.. Kirk. ID. Sun Mar 22 2026
