This chair is very comfortable and a delight. Assembly really requires prior experience with schematics and understanding basic aspects of hardware. However, as the pics show, the upper/seat section is out of alignment with the lower/base portion; it's pushed to one side. That results in the upper frame knocking against the rear black glide "dog bone" part. I don't understand what would cause this skewing. I kept all fasteners not-tight until everything was assembled. I am really pleased with these glider chairs. They are very comfortable for both my tall husband and petite me. Like other reviewers mentioned, they are a bit challenging to assemble, but worth the effort. It was very important to me to not have any furniture leaving rust stains on my porch, like my last set. The rockers are very nice and comfortable. They were excellently packed and the instructions were good. Just have patience and take your time putting together. The drill bit provided ending up stripping a screw so we used the hex key which was very time consuming.
