This is a terrific little system! I am a tea drinker and my husband let it slip that the UK has hot water on demand in many places... I asked if we could and lo and behold! Installation was easy*, although we didn't use the supplied filter as we have it going through a filter system already. The temperature isn't exact, so we did have to mess with the dial a little. It doesn't take up room underneath the cabinet either. *There's a crimp piece required. The metal one didn't fit properly, and they provided a plastic one also which worked, but barely.. This was a breeze to apply. Simply shook the container to mix the contents and then applied with a paint roller. Avoided work during direct sunlight hours. Re-applied until the container was empty. Very happy with this garage floor product. This was my first installation as a DIY person. Spent a lot of time researching for this. Many non-salt filters/softeners are so expensive to run. I liked that this has a pre-filter, but that the water is primarily run through a tank. Installation wasn't too bad.. I say that as if I put it in. Long story short, this has DRAMATICALLY reduced the scale in my home. The WGB22B whole house filtration system is an ideal "point of entry" filtration system for cleaning up water supplies to a home or business on municipal (city) water. Unlike "point of use" systems (like reverse osmosis systems) that are installed to supply water to a specific faucet, the WGB22B filters your water from the source. This means water from every output in your home will have passed through the two filtration stages of the WGB22B. The stage 1 housing holds a 5-micron high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter. This filter removes dirt and other various larger sized particles from the water that can clog the following filter. The second stage of the WGB22B houses a CTO coconut shell carbon block filter. Block carbon is more effective than other forms of carbon in that it is finely ground up carbon packed into a solidified block. This means they have a higher density than other types of carbon filters, and are therefore more effective in removing their targeted contaminants. The carbon block filter knocks out bad tastes and odors, removes up to 90% of chlorine from the water, and is highly effective on chemicals like pesticides, herbicides, and industrial chemicals.
