Installed this in our shower with an opening of 40 1/2 inches wide. Fit was pretty good had to use a little more silicone on the glass wall section. In my case getting the door to swing without rubbing the bottom water guard was a bit of work. But when all said and done door looks great. Very satisfied, strong and sturdy. This frameless door is one of the best improvements for effort put in that we've done to our home in recent memory. The side panel took about an hour and the glass took about an hour two days later. I ordered their kit with bits because I was too lazy to go to the hardware store. The packaging is excellent, all boxes within are labeled, and the included instructions (both written and video) are great. We chose this door because we only had one wall with an appropriately placed stud. The mounts are more than sufficient to support the glass on one side. Support by Glass Warehouse is also great. They picked up the phone at 7:30 eastern and filled me in on an additional mount they include in each kit for those who would additional support to the one-sided mount. Our contractor told us we probably had to get a custom shower door made, but I found this and thought we could try it. Ended up working out PERFeCTLY and it was a fraction of the price of the custom quotes!! Definitely need professional installation, but they had no problem putting it in. Very nice door. Hinges are set for a 90 degree close. The hinges mount to one shower wall. If your walls aren't square with your shower base then your door will close too hard or not enough. If your door closes too hard, you can open a hinge and take a spring out. There are two springs in each hinge. If your door doesn't close enough you can open the hinge, remove the shaft and file or grind it to change the closing angle. I had to do the latter because my shower wall was at an angle that was greater than 90 degrees to my shower floor. The shower door directions don't mention altering the hinges.
