The area where it screws into the back of a drawer front is thick, which makes it sturdy but can also change the way drawers close against the cabinet face, and unless they're inset, may create a greater gap than desired.. These are heavy and well made but unfortunately we can't use them with our sliding door. They stick out too far from the wall. But I purchased them because I didn't want to screw the door glide into my new hardwood floor and these go into the baseboard.
