My old Black Decker lasted 18 years and finally wouldn’t steam any longer. I looked in the local stores and they now are showing the newer models of irons with the very pointed front ends and not much area to iron on even in the middle of these irons. I checked Wayfair which is the place to go when you can’t locate the items anywhere else and sure enough they had this Black Decker Classic Iron. It is perfect, even better than my older model, good looking, easy to operate and to fill for steaming I could not locate it in any of the stores in my area but found it on Wayfair. These are beautiful, heavy and solid, weight-wise. While the angle hinge works well providing a large variety of angles, there are two issues they may want to work on: 1) A steeper staircase angle means it is difficult to screw the bottom screw into the rail, as screwdriver access is blocked by the ornate iron, and 2) the same up-down hinge that allows the bracket to work on many angles also has some left/right play in it, due to the tolerances not being exact in the iron work.
