I was very pleased with the size and appearance of the two vases exactly what I needed. However, the problem was separating the vases once I removed them from the very sturdy box. They shipped stacked together inside the box and wrapped in plastic, which was probably cost effective, but very impractical from a customers perspective. Long story short, I sprayed WD-40 along the rim and plastic, waited 5 mins, lightly tapped along the rim with a hamper, then pulled on the plastic, and they came a part easily at that point. This is a heavy duty planter. And I mean HEAVY! It's heavy on its' own, but once this sucker is full of dirt and plants it was nearly impossible for me to move to the exact spot I wanted it on my porch. Just be mindful of that when planting. Keep it close by or in the place you want it to finally sit. It has one drainage hole on the bottom of the planter and one hole in the tray that sits in the center of the planter. I put a square of mesh landscaping fabric on the bottom of the tray before adding a few small stones then dirt to allow drainage but prevent the dirt from washing out of the hole in the tray and mucking up my porch. This is an excellent product but as a gardener I struggle to understand what you would grow in it. Perhaps bulbs because while it is wide and large it is shallow. You could do band roses.
