The inverter option is great for any place with short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! I heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote control is a must, but it works great with the thermostat so I just set the temperature I like and that’s it! The room stays at a comfortable temperature. My husband was able to do most of the installation. It was relatively easy to install the unit on the wall with parts that are included, we only had a certified electrician do the the connection and final install of the unit. Been using the 20x25x4 for multiple years now. Filters work great, I replace mine every 90 days in my house. Never had any issues or concerns about quality or construction of the filters. I've seen many complaints about the 1" thick filters and while I understand their concerns; a 1" thick filter is old technology and should consider getting a larger filter box. I find the complaints about the tabs holding the pleats in the filter where you may have to push a few back trivial. You're buying a MERV 11 equivalent disposable filter, again DISPOSABLE. It wasn't long ago when everyone was just using the blue fiberglass air filters.. There is a balance between retail cost and manufacturing cost. I ordered this for my husband's job. We've used it one time so far and it seems to be working well. It does use a lot of electricity since we had it plugged in we received an alert from our electric company. It is quite big. The picture make it looks smaller.
