Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms. Great find. I would recommend these filament bulbs. The bulbs come in a 24 pack and since my line only needs 12, I now have extra bulbs for replacements when needed. The illumination even though it's a soft light, at night is bright enough allowing me to stay out as late as I want on my patio.
