The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that some of the edges are a bit rough and will need a little sanding before installation. Other than that, I’m satisfied with the purchase.. Niches have been used in homes for almost 2000 years, first made of white marble in Nero's home. Most niches are still white, and for many years were mostly made of plaster. Now that many modern architectural products are made of urethane, custom millwork and details such as recessed niches have become affordable for any home improvement project. Urethane Gable Vents shine when it comes to looking like a real wood product without all the maintenance that can come with wood. They are moulded from beautiful designs, like wood products, and come to you factory primed and ready for your paint. Gable vents work to provide ventilation, releasing stagnant air, preventing damage from humidity, and optimizing temperature control. Gable vents are particularly useful during the summer months when hot air rises and is trapped in the attic, where it can transfer itself down through the ceiling and back into the level below, decreasing the effectiveness of air conditioning systems A gable vent is located at the attic area, commonly on the exterior wall where the two planes of a sloping roof join, forming a triangle. The gable can be any symmetrical shape, but the triangle is among the most common. Other vent shapes include rectangles, steeples, circles, and octagons. Gable vents are fitted with horizontal ventilation slats called louvers. You can add a mesh screen to be placed behind the vent. This allows air to circulate while keeping outside elements where they belong. A gable mounted ventilator helps to push air through the louvers. The ventilator removes air from the attic through the use of turbines or fans. The gable ventilator commonly requires no carpentry, as it is mounted on the interior of the wall behind the gable, however, electrical installation is required.
