Beautiful! I put them in a doorway in my apartment. I mounted them with Command strips. I did have to put a smear of E6000 glue on the spot where the strips went and let that dry first as the edges that go against the wall are a little porous and the strips wouldn’t stick. These corbels work well for our mantel situation, although for my personal taste, I wish they were a bit less detailed. They are exactly as advertised. I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted in the right size, and these will work until I do. Our mantel needed to have a bit more “heft”, and this seemed like a good way to get that. They are super light-weight, obviously not made of real wood, but because they are painted, you can’t tell that. And with there being so light, they are pretty much trouble free to install. Let me preface this by saying I am a carpenter by trade, so maybe my expectations were a little higher than they should have been. I think these cross heads are a great product, but have a few issues. Maybe I got a “dud”, but the thing was warped/bowed like crazy. I had to manipulate the thing for about half an hour, glueing and fastening just to get it to sit somewhat flush and level. The pre-mitered corners had some issues as well. Not a flush cut, So I had to do a bit of work on it. For the price, and the convenience of not having to make it by hand..I’d say go for it! Just be sure you understand some work will have to be done to get it perfect. I also want to mention, I got a set of Pilasters from the same company, and those came out excellent! Highly recommend. Just needed some sanding and painted, but that’s to be expected!. Anonymous. Sat Dec 02 2023
