I ordered the ceiling medallion in "primed" and plan to paint it to coordinate with the room. It arrived quickly and well packaged; my only complaint is that the hole in the middle isn't centered; fortunately, the canopy for the light fixture is large enough that it conceals that the hole is off-center. The ceiling medallion is much heavier than others I have purchased; I am sure it will require construction adhesive to keep it attached to the ceiling. Ceiling rings are often used in conjunction with ceiling medallions in highlighting focal points like chandeliers and ceiling fans. However, ceiling rings can also be used on the wall to accent mirrors, photos, and photo frames.

I had installed a medallion when we replaced our chandelier. I was disappointed because the medallion was too small for the fixture. This ceiling ring was perfect to give the illusion of a larger medallion without having to start over! It would also be useful when the medallion you love is too small for what you need- more intentional than was my case. Calculating the size I needed was the tricky part! With the medallion, this ring, and the ceiling between the two painted the same color, it appears that I have a much larger medallion than I actually have.
