The medallion arrived on time and was well-packaged, arriving in good condition. Overall, it looks nice and should work well for my project. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that some of the edges are a bit rough and will need a little sanding before installation. Other than that, I’m satisfied with the purchase.. Our ceiling medallion collections are modeled after original historical patterns and designs. Our artisans then hand carve an original piece. Being hand carved each piece is richly detailed with deep relief, sharp lines, and a truly unique touch. That masterpiece is then used to create a mold master. Once the mold master is created we use our high-density urethane foam to form each medallion. The finished look is a beautifully detailed, lightweight, solid construction, focal piece. The resemblance to original plaster medallions is achieved only by using our high-density urethane and not vacuum-formed, "plastic" type medallions. Medallions are lightweight for easy installation and come primed and ready for paint. These are in stock and available for immediate shipment. Our whole one-piece medallions are cut in two for you, making installation a breeze.

This makes a statement! However, it is quite heavy (about 10 pounds). I would not rely solely on adhesive caulking and would add screws to help support it. I ordered the ceiling medallion in "primed" and plan to paint it to coordinate with the room. It arrived quickly and well packaged; my only complaint is that the hole in the middle isn't centered; fortunately, the canopy for the light fixture is large enough that it conceals that the hole is off-center. The ceiling medallion is much heavier than others I have purchased; I am sure it will require construction adhesive to keep it attached to the ceiling.
