I returned these, but they are nice looking in person (I ended up using metal brackets instead to support my countertop bar). Also, VERY important to know, in very fine print, it says that they are not returnable - even though on the same page on the website, in large capital letters, that all orders from Wayfair can be returned within 30 days. I can’t say enough good things about Ekena. Every order has arrived quickly, perfectly packed, and in flawless condition. The quality is so impressive that it pushed me to take on DIY projects I never imagined doing alone. I purchased a mitre saw, nail gun and caulking gun and was ready to go. Honestly, this has gotten so easy that I installed crown molding in my bathroom using leftover scraps in less than 45 minutes one day after work. Really good variety for sizes, and I feel that this design is classic and understated. The construction of this product could be way better though. It is difficult to put a hollow corbel - and most of the are for decorative use, not going over a supporting wooden beam or anything. It would be nice to have at least some backing. Also, there are noticeable (but tiny) cracks between some of the layers on the front of some product, not all. Niches have been used in homes for almost 2000 years, first made of white marble in Nero's home. Most niches are still white, and for many years were mostly made of plaster. Now that many modern architectural products are made of urethane, custom millwork and details such as recessed niches have become affordable for any home improvement project. Niches are distinctive architectural accents. Often used to display sculptures, vases, clocks, plants and flowers, niches are beautiful and functional details that add value to any home interior. They are often used in main hallways, dining rooms, foyers, and staircases. Beautiful! I put them in a doorway in my apartment. I mounted them with Command strips. I did have to put a smear of E6000 glue on the spot where the strips went and let that dry first as the edges that go against the wall are a little porous and the strips wouldn’t stick. We attached flush French cleats to hang a sycamore board with a live edge for a nice display shelf in our dining room. I this item a 5 star review because its beautiful. However, the ordering process was a pain. wayfair kept changing the date of delivery. I had hired a builder to install them because it is holding up a small roof, so I needed to know a date of delivery but, every couple of days I received an email with a change. So, I called the manufacturer and they stated the delivery date has always been the same which was another date then what I had from Wayfair. The good news is it came 3 days early.
