This arrived very quickly and was packaged very securely so it arrived in perfect condition. It's much heavier than I expected, but that's a good thing since you don't want this tipping over. There was no assembly, so from opening the box to getting it going was quick and easy. So far, it works as expected. The remote has a lot of useful functions including turn off and on the lights at night to reduce the brightness for light sleepers. A few things to know beforehand. We did have a smaller window a/c unit that was just ok, but this one is a game-changer! It has a/c AND heat! Year-round comfort! It’s powerful enough to cool our entire garage (and we live in the South-so it definitely has its work cut out for it). The heater doesn’t exactly heat the whole room when it’s super cold out, but it definitely takes the chill out of the air and warms it sufficiently to make it possible to use the room in winter. It single handily was my sous-chef for prepping and making Thanksgiving dinner, along with many other meals. Its multiple settings include slow cook like a standard crock pot, sauté/sear which I found myself using mostly, rice cooker, sous vide, meal timer/manual function which is also helpful. I’ve made couscous, rice and multiple chicken dinners, seared veggies, made stock and kept my mashed potatoes warm while I finished Thanksgiving dinner. This machine has a lot of power and functionality while looking quite professional and high end. My only complaint is the size/weight of it, with all that power and functions come parts to hoist and overall it’s a bit large for simply keeping out on my counter so I keep it tucked away. Without having proper space for this machine I can see it being hard to keep around, luckily I have the room. This is a nice compact dehumidifier. It's sturdy and heavy but doesn't take up too much space. The wheels and handle are great for mobility. One of the best things about it is how quiet it is in operation. For a commercial dehumidifier, the sound is very low. I don't have the ability to fully comment on it's effectiveness yet but can say that the reading changed rather quickly with a short test try.
