Our first base had a small crack in one corner, most likely due to shipping damage. Wayfair immediately replaced it and the 2nd base had stronger packaging material and came in good condition. The drain is very slightly off centered, which is how it was meant to be, but since we were replacing an older base that was centered, the hole and shower drain didn't match up. We purchase a small offset drain attachment which worked perfectly. The base is sturdy and strong and with the rings on the underside for support, it did not need any filling material. FedEx did a poor job of dropping this door off at our home but it wasnt damaged even though they were rough to the box. Overall, good product, and works well installed. Two points: 1. The corner joining parts are plastic. These should be metal, just have no long term faith in plastic as part of the frame. 2. The u-channel which attaches to the wall. Very poor design, the u-channel has a wing on it which is where you are to screw it to wall. This is cheap looking.
