This shade sail is made of a thick but flexible material that should provide just the right amount of protection from the sun without being a total "sunblock" (or completely waterproof) and the reinforced attachment points on the sail seem sufficiently strong. I haven't yet installed it, but the included kit appears to be very comparable to the separate installation kit I ordered just in case the included kit was flimsier or more difficult to use. This particular brand of sail offered a lot of different size options, which is ideal if you are looking for a sail to fit a space with unequal distances between the triangle points. The sail I ordered measures 20' x 20' x 28.3'. it came with a installation hardware kit but I can't yet comment on whether the hardware kit works well. I also ordered another hardware kit in case I needed a different installation option than the one included. Unfortunately, Wayfair said it delivered both when I never received the additional hardware kit. After waiting 3 days to see if there was a problem with how the item was scanned, I have reported the missing delivery and hope that I will receive that other installation kit so that I can choose which kit will work better for installing the sai.. Why didnt I buy this shade sail earlier I cannot believe how much it has cooled our pool and how much more comfortable we are when we are outside. Approximate how much area you want to shade. Triangle, square, or rectangle depends on the number of existing poles, roofs, trees, concrete walls, etc. Use cable wires to connect the shade sail to hardware if necessary. If you don’t use cable wires, keep a 0.5 - 2 ft space between D rings and poles to give space for the hardware kits that come with adjustable turnbuckles to tighten & create tension.

Best decision I ever made. These look like an odd choice but they are absolutely gorgeous. My mom thought I was crazy for ordering samples of a few of some of the colors, but even she loved them when they came in. There was no other option once we saw them in person. It’s cheap to order a sample. Just do it! The colors are gorgeous!!!! I didn’t do a pattern like they have on some of their photos. The colors are so rich that they don’t need the added drama of a pattern. I got the dark red color and installed it in my still unfinished kitchen. I’ve attached a photo of that. But I also got the light blue and I love it even more! I’m installing that in my bathroom next week. I’ll post pictures of that too if I remember.
