LOVE THIS PERGOLA - We needed something that kept the sun off our outdoor kitchen in central Florida. We lifted it by about 18 inches so it would be above our door by using flower boxes and filled with concrete. It actually makes the pergola more comfortable by raising it. The gutters work well in the heavy down pours known in Florida. The higher wind tolerance was a huge selling point for us. We couldnt be happier. Its not as sturdy as we would like. However we mounted the gazebo to our deck to make it more sturdier. If there was one thing I would change it would be the roof. It is made of plastic.. Very pretty to look out of but dont not if it could withstand strong winds, rains or snow. We live in Michigan. We have strong winds and heavy snow. So we hope it will last through the winter. I had used this type of air conditioner at an Air BnB and really like it, this was main reason for ordering this one and it is great. I especially like that it is a converter unit and can be used year-round for cooling in the summer and for heat in the winter. The greatest advantage, I think is the savings on your electric bill from not having to cool the entire house. The inverter option is great for any place with short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! I heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote control is a must, but it works great with the thermostat so I just set the temperature I like and that’s it! The room stays at a comfortable temperature. My husband was able to do most of the installation. It was relatively easy to install the unit on the wall with parts that are included, we only had a certified electrician do the the connection and final install of the unit. I highly recommend these curtains! They are a heavier weight and lined. They hang beautifully and filter the sunlight but does not block it. The curtains are hung on a south facing patio door.
