At first it seemed more bold of a pattern because of all the black in it but I rotated the rug because there was less black on the other side of it and that worked much better. This is a beautiful Puccio runner rug. It has nice thick feel and is very soft. The colors are a great neutral scheme. Carpet is as described. It is soft and the texture is great for high traffic areas. I had a runner already for 3 years that is exactly the same product so I know first hand that it can take a beating, although it has lost a little bit of softness but that is a given.
