We love this high-performing hood. We got this to go with our new 48 inch for no double oven range. We needed the high power and it works beautifully! Just a couple of notes… The lights are not dimmable. That would’ve been a nice feature. Be sure to mount the hood low enough so that the bright lights do not distract you while cooking. But we did want four lights… Many Chimney hoods like this only offer three and did not provide the lighting that we were looking for. Several other reviews mention how loud the fan is. This is true. Even on low it’s quite loud. However, other models that we looked at that were more quiet… Were 3 to 4 times the cost. We do a lot of cooking and Are just fine turning up the music or speaking a little more loudly to one another while cooking! Ha ha! I installed this exhaust about 4 months ago by a professional company. Installation didn't take long time. We were very curious if it will do its jobs properly. We are very satisfied with the performance of this exhaust. When my wife cook South Asian food with spices, smell spread in whole house downstairs and upstairs. So hard to find a built in backsplash. I like that it just has a lip and not the full front, lots of those models. When countertop material is expensive this saves needing to buy several feet of material for the little strip of counter in front and back of the sink. It is too expensive, but this saves a little.
