The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I don't love the paint on the blades. I received this aluminum ceiling fan in a timely manner. It is white just like I ordered. Not very heavy and comes with remote control for the fan and the lights. From what I have been reading the fan can operate with lights on or off. I love this feature because it is similar to the one in the primary bedroom. The fan can run without the lights being on if that is the preference. Some of the fan blades can be removed and still run. I need an electrician to come and install for me. Unfortunately, bad weather has delayed installation. Will send pictures and information on how it works for me once it is installed. Have e different light illuminations. Only issues we found with it was the sides were not milled quite straight/square so had to sand down a bit on one end.
