I purchased these with stripes because my partner can't figure out the top or side of sheets. These actually have a sewn in piece that says TOP/BOTTOM. If I'd known that I wouldn't have needed stripes. LOVE THAT. Surely he'll be able to figure this out. I also want to note that the elastic isn't just around the bottom at corners, it's around the entire bottom which will make it easier to stay put - this must be their OptiFit band.
