If you plan to install new stair risers, you will need to cut the riser flush with the existing stair tread so the overlap stair nose covers the riser properly. Note: Stairs that have an existing bullnose will need to have the bullnose removed prior to installing the new tread or riser to accept the overlap stair nose correctly. The treads were solid! Tried a different style that was way too light and has to return them. Fairly straight forward install but a local flooring guy gave me a tip on the install.
