EDIT 10 months later… I still love the look of the stools, but they are not standing up. I will add the most recent photos and you can see how the material on the seat has stretched and torn. I guess I’ll have to get them recovered. The material feels like leather, but it’s really just a thin vinyl, that stretches and then once it stretches, it seems to split apart. These stools are great. The seat size is a little wider than normal, which is great for some of our guests that need that extra space. The chairs themselves are sturdy and very comfortable with lots of padding on the seat. My husband put the four of them together in about 90 minutes. We’ve been very happy with the Gardnertown 26” swivel counter stools. They look far more expensive than they are and fit perfectly at our kitchen counter. The swivel is smooth and quiet, and the stools feel sturdy once assembled. The cushioning is supportive and comfortable for longer sitting, with good back support as well. Assembly was quick and easy. Their design works nicely in modern or transitional spaces, and we’ve received several compliments.
