Being porcelain, it’s very hard and durable, and perhaps best of all, you can use an orbital sander to remove thinset and grout without damaging the finish—huge time saver! Just one critical thing to know in advance: these are spaced at 4mm, and you’ll have to search hard to find 4mm spacers. 3/16 is too wide, 1/8 is too skinny. On the upside, if things start looking a wee bit out of alignment, you can use those 3/16 and 1/8 spacers (very selectively) to cheat a little, with no discernible impact to aesthetics.. Ryan. I like this rug in person even better than I did on the website. It's thin enough that my front door will go right over the top of it. It came delivered in plenty of plastic which was good since it rained that day. I have put it in front of my door so that when it does rain we won't slip on the ceramic tile flooring.
