I wanted purple dishes and these were great. I’ve had the same dishes for 47 years so I was due for a change. The bowls are very deep and the sandwich plates are a bit smaller than I’m used to, but actually work great so I don’t fill up my plate and can cut calories. They go thru the dishwasher just fine. I prefer porcelain dinnerware because it is lighter weight than stoneware and doesn’t get hot in the microwave. (It does warm slightly with longer cook times but doesn’t burn fingers like stoneware can.) The pattern on this dinnerware is really pretty. I like the two sizes of bowls. I have wanted new dinnerware for a year when I saw this pattern. I didn’t want cups, total waste for me and I wanted the double bowls. These are just fun. I know the color is different for some and I would have liked a tab more green in the tone but it’s impossible to create a color that works for everyone.
