Please note you have to buy the concealed wall box with this or it cant be installed. Mine arrived with a dent and as my contractor failed to tell me before installing it, I feel I have to keep it. There is no way to directly control the light andor fan function directly through a wall switch. Has great features I was looking for – a timer for the fan, a dimmable light, humidity sensor. My kids love the rainbow light, but I think it’s unnecessary. Plastic feels a bit cheap and I am crossing my fingers that my contractor can figure out why the fan is suddenly quite loud when it wasn’t for the first 24 Hours. The locksmith came to install the lock and we discovered that two of the four batteries that came with the unit were dead. I called Wayfair's great customer service folks, who are sending out four fresh batteries. Normally this would not be an issue but I have never seen these batteries before. They are CR 123A 3V lithium batteries. In researching these, the internet says the batteries should have a 10-year shelf life, I don't know why they would be dead. The lock seems sturdy and very well made. I have three other keypad locks that take AA batteries and I am constantly replacing them. When I get power on the lock I will update my review.. Brenda.
