Kohut Bed is amazing. I absolutely love it. Was able to put it together myself. I am not very good normally -at putting anything together. It stunned me with how solid and sturdy it was. Feels so comfortable and most of all – like it was built to last a long time. I have three wonderful dachshunds and wanted a low to the ground bed – that was sturdy and attractive. Got it. I purchased 4 inch box springs and 8 inch awesome queen mattress. Put a dog play fence around it – and made small ramp. Wow – I am comfortable and happy and the dachshunds are in love with the new bed – and they are safe. Most people aren’t going to buy it for dachshunds. It’s a nice looking bed. We purchased it for a guest bedroom. It was fairly easy to assemble but my husband did have to make a few adjustments. The sides were out of square so he had to adjust the bracket that holds the headboard to the side boards. We also had to add more screws to the rails that hold the slats. For the money, it’s fine. The vertical wood slats in the headboard do not have a snug fit. Adding some wood glue would help. The headboard height can be adjusted based on thickness of the mattress. The mattress center support has 4 additional legs. The 2 legs at the bottom end of the center support are 12” above the floor. Feet levelers and loosening the legs from the support is an option.
