The 48” was exactly the right size for my bathroom area. I rotated the support poles so they were both coming from the ceiling. It is sturdy just not indestructible obviously. If you're not ashamed then you should be. I ordered five of these items and it was a mixture of different kinds of screws, rod thread lengths, and finishes. One type of screw tightened the thing down, the other type did not. I get it that if these cost a dollar each it might warrant the poor quality of the order, but for the price NOT WORTH IT!
