The display is very clear to read. I know its more of a personal preference, but I like how the remote is kind of bulky and a nice size. I always lose smaller things so I appreciate the size of the remote. The installation is what you would expect with any window AC unit. Nothing special. This evaporative cooler has done a very good job of keeping the room cooler by at least 20 degrees. The 4 ice packs work well to keep the water cool for quite a long time. It is very easy to operate and does not use an excessive amount of water to cool and do like it holds a lot of water. I use this as a complement to the evaporative 4700cfm that I have in the window in the far side of the house, because by the time that air gets to the back it is not as cool, so this helps a lot.
