Ideally, I’d love a replacement but not confident another won’t also be damaged. The packaging of this chair is the root cause. There isn’t any cushioning between the mesh back and the chrome base, causing it to rub together creating a hole. And there’s no fixing a hole in mesh, no matter how small. UPDATE 3-16-2021 My previous comment was somewhat premature because I received a call from a lovely Wayfair employee who was sympathetic to my issue and immediately took steps to rectify it. I have been searching for months for the perfect vanity chair for our newly-remodeled master bathroom. The design elements were just as important as functionality to me in this space. As our counter is shaving height (with the vanity just a few inches lower), a standard height seat was too short; I needed one that had adjustable height features that didn't scream "office chair." This Matthias Task Chair is just what I needed. Without arm rests, it pushes in almost flush with the counter so that there's still ample room to walk between the tub and the chair. I like that it has casters so that I'm not sliding wood or metal across my new tile floor. And, I wanted something in blue and chrome, which was not easy to find. I do wish it were a tad bit deeper in the seat, but I'm only in it for about 20-minutes max per day to put on make-up; comfort was not my priority.
