I like this light. It is a great concept and really does give the effect of a skylight. Installation was straight forward with an existing light connection and didn't require too much work. Great product for the price. The LEDs make it easy to change colors. Easy to install. This is the 10" and we could have gone a little bigger for the space. Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms. Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. This is the perfectly sized LED outdoor light fixture for us. I have taken various shots for you so you have an idea of scale and appearance. It is elegant and understated at the same time, which is what we wanted given that the fixture needed to be right next to an awning, and located in a rather narrow piece of wall as you will observe. It provides beautiful up and down lighting. We wanted a good amount (not glaring) light for ease of access in/out of that door, and wanted to add a bit of interest at that location by incorporating the contemporary (or modern if you will) feature of up/down lighting. We needed something which would not fight our other outdoor fixtures, so this is the perfect fit. If we had a totally contemporary or modern home, I would probably order this for the entire home. The look of the outside of our home is Mediterranean so all of outside has that flare, which is why this particular fixture had to just do its thing as it blended in with the black and white stripped awning, as it also brought in a focal point of interest at that otherwise boring location. It did all of that! Now, this is the replacement light. The first one which came in was installed (as this one) by our electrician. It become hot almost immediately and after not even an hour, I had to turn it off as it was so hot we could hardly touch it and it made the awning very hot. I immediately reported it to Wayfair and they handled it directly with WAC. They sent me this replacement which is perfect. That is why I gave them the full 5 stars. It's not just the product, it was what happened when the one in a million doesn't work well, how they handled that situation. They told me I could keep or pitch the hot one yet I am going to pitch it as there is no way I could use it nor give it to anyone. Again, the replacement is perfect, does not get hot, gives wonderful light as you can see, is a beautiful shade of black, blends well with various styles and could stand beautifully alone if it had to, and I am beyond happy with it. The 14 Hex Kit mixes hex shapes with straight bars, so once it’s up, the whole ceiling feels organized instead of random pieces stuck together. The 6500K color lands in that clean daylight range, which helps a lot when you’re checking surfaces, doing detail work, or just trying to keep the room bright without straining your eyes. Each tube draws about 6W, and with 57 tubes in the full kit, the total comes out to around 534W. It sounds high, but it easily replaces multiple old fixtures that never really lit the whole room right. The body is aluminum, so it stays light enough to handle during installation but still holds its shape after everything is tightened down. The IP44 rating keeps dust and small splashes from becoming a problem. Shops, garages, barbers, and small gym setups usually like this kind of build because it doesn’t need much upkeep. Once the pieces lock in using the connectors, the structure feels steady. You get corner joints, straight pieces, Y-sections, and everything else you need in the box. Two 5-foot power cords make it easier if your outlet isn’t placed in the ideal spot. And if someone doesn’t need something this large, we carry the same LED Hexagon Light system in 5 Hex Kit and 8 Hex Kit versions, too. Smaller rooms, home studios, compact garages—those usually fit better with the 5- or 8-hex layouts. The 14-Hex is more for people who want full-ceiling coverage. All three kits share the same bright output style, the same CRI above 80 for accurate colors, and the same general wiring approach. Once mounted, you rarely think about replacing anything since the LEDs run for years before dimming out.
