I was fascinated that the mattress came compressed. And, I followed the directions, and the mattress went from being a tube into a flat mattress that expanded after I removed the plastic wrapping. This mattress is extremely comfortable and more on the firm side. Just wish the sides wouldn’t sink so much when you sit on the edge, also if it would have handles to help move it around easier. Made in USA is a bonus. The mattress was ready for sleeping within an hour, but reached its peak firmness and size a day or two later (not enough to notice an appreciable difference). This mattress works ok. I think it leans more to a firmer side than medium firm. Though it works good, I think, having more memory foam on the top part would make it feel a little more comfortable and would definitely help with firmness. I appreciate the support on edges because it really is holding well with weight and I don’t just fall when seated on the edge but I still think there are other medium firm mattress around that feels more comfortable..
