This desk is countertop height. I did not read the measurements as I assumed it was a standard desk height. I took 5 inches off each leg with a saw and it looks great. A little more work than I wanted to do but this is a solid well constructed desk. The top is preassembled you just have to assemble the legs. Very easy. So sad. Table arrived today with a lot of damage. It seemed to be packaged properly so maybe it was shipped that way. I don’t know. Many other scratches and digs and dings that aren’t in photos. Got tire of looking. It’s solid wood so someone really had to work at these marks. It’s a very nice table otherwise. I honestly just didn’t expect it to be so damaged. Or damaged at all actually. I’ll reach out to customer service and let you know if they are willing to make it right. My advice, heed all of the reviews that say their items arrived damaged. Wish I had. UPDATE - Wayfair gave me a generous credit for the damage, which I thought was very nice of them, and the truth is, I’ve become used to the imperfections and they don’t drive me as crazy as I thought they would.
