I love this. The frame fit my gas fire pit top perfect. It is just the right height for viewing the fire but not allowing too much heat-to-heat drinks setting next to the glass. The design is really nice for attaching the glass panels at the 90-degree angles. The hardware is solid, and not prone to 'stripping' out. There are little legs on the bottoms of each corner hardware, with a little rubber foot. The is nice because the glass itself is setting up (and not on) the mantel surface. This is a fantastic fire pit and a really great value. I saw similar styles for $1000 and feel the look and function of this one is very similar and just as good. The tank cover is a nice addition and also serves as a side table. Set up was quick and easy. It gives off a good amount of heat. The color says black but I would call it more slate which I really like. The cover for the flame area is also a nice feature as you can then use it as a table. As far as the product itself, I put it together alone in about 20 minutes. All the parts and even a screwdriver was included in the box. I hooked it up to the propane tank and it lit immediately. Works well but one of the laminated wood pieces came with a large chip. I right away called support and they were kind and helped me file an online report and I included a photo. Later I got an email from Wayfair offering a 10% refund but that doesn’t help this expensive brand new item from looking used and damaged. edit to add, wayfair replaced the damaged item!
