This is a fantastic fire pit and a really great value. I saw similar styles for $1000 and feel the look and function of this one is very similar and just as good. The tank cover is a nice addition and also serves as a side table. Set up was quick and easy. It gives off a good amount of heat. The color says black but I would call it more slate which I really like. The cover for the flame area is also a nice feature as you can then use it as a table. This arrived well packaged with no issues. It is heavy duty. Its made up of 4 glass panels with corner connectors you attach yourself using a Philips screwdriver. There are heat resistant feet that hold it up about an inch for an air gap needed by the burners. I would not use my firepit without it since it protects those sitting near from the flames blowing their direction, or being blow out.
