I should probably ask my contractor to review this product, since I didn't have to install it myself. All I can say is that it looks great and opens and closes smoothly. If you're not experiencing this with yours, then maybe it was the installer's fault. One drawback is that it's not very tall. At 5'7", I can step into my shower without ducking. My sons (5'10") would have to duck, as does my 6'2" boyfriend. But maybe that's standard now? Whatever. I love the sink, but the packaging is SO bad that the first TWO sinks that were delivered were too dented up to use. By the time the delivery man came with the third sink - after delivering AND picking up two others - he was laughing and calling us by our first names. After the second return, I talked to someone who suggested requesting extra special packaging, and this worked. The edges of the third box were reinforced when we got it, and the third sink had only a small bend on the lip, which was under the counter anyway.
