The pump is small and very quiet. Connecting the pump to a garden hose required using the largest pump adapter (1/2”), some ½” tubing, a ½” to 34” male-to-male adapter and two hose clamps. Bought this to replace an aquasurge 4000 which died after 20 years. It arrived earlier then the estimated date which was good. Followed instructions which are straightforward. Pump was missing one washer which is described in the instructions but wasn’t included with the pump, luckily I had a spare (See white washer in photo). My 1st attempt I plugged it in and nothing happened. Had to disconnect piping and pull the pump up. Found it in two pieces in the bag! The motor housing side had separated from the impeller side which was a pain. Be sure you have the pump tightly closed when installing.
