The blanket quality is very nice. It has a shiny appearance and is very soft. The Sherpa is a good thickness not very thick but definitely warm. The color is not the same as the picture. This is a very nice rug! Its just a pity it gets rolled and flattened over time, (there isnt a cardboard roll in the middle to keep it round). It was very wavy when I unpacked it, but I got the idea to wet it with the garden hose, so that I could flatten it more easily.
