This arrived very quickly and was packaged very securely so it arrived in perfect condition. It's much heavier than I expected, but that's a good thing since you don't want this tipping over. There was no assembly, so from opening the box to getting it going was quick and easy. So far, it works as expected. I had used this type of air conditioner at an Air BnB and really like it, this was main reason for ordering this one and it is great. The greatest advantage, I think is the savings on your electric bill from not having to cool the entire house. The inverter option is great for any place with short winters for the same reason noted above, no furnace needed! I heat up a room for the cold hours of the night and that’s it. The remote control is a must, but it works great with the thermostat so I just set the temperature I like and that’s it! The room stays at a comfortable temperature. My husband was able to do most of the installation. It was relatively easy to install the unit on the wall with parts that are included, we only had a certified electrician do the the connection and final install of the unit. This particular air conditioner was bought for the purpose of cooling a 300 square foot room. We have no window for the exhaust hose to be used which was fine with us. We were told that being a portable air conditioner, the hose didn't have to be used. After running the conditioner for more than 4 hours our room didn't cool off because the heat coming out the back of the conditioner through the exhaust connection was too much heat, thus the conditioner couldn't cool the room at all.
