I wanted to use this more as a place to hold outdoor utensils, plates, etc. for our patio. This is truly more of a potting bench. It is not waterproof. I think water could get in pretty easily through the way the planks are constructed. It was easy to put together. It is a bit on the rustic side (drawers are clunky). Love it. Was able to put it together myself, but it took all day, lol! Someone else may have been able to put it together faster though. There are pictures with the directions, but they don’t accurately depict which way some of the pieces go, and I made several mistakes along the way because of it. Now that it’s done, I love it. Leaving a second review as I don’t see my first one listed This product is made of really inexpensive pinewood with a very light spray paint is it a scratch and comes off when you wipe It’s listed as an outdoor potting bench when it actually rained water fell through the gaps of the countertop ended up in my drawer this took me an hour and a half to put together and I recommend highly if you want to last more than one summer just give it a varnish coat. It will extend the life of this piece and also make it waterproof. Overall, it’s a nice piece. It was a nice piece after getting built which would be alot easier if they would show more detailed instructions. Top or bottom or left or right side of pieces would help a lot. Got it built and seems sturdy enough although there are some imperfections. Mine had dimples in metal top that I cannot hide but not bad enough to repack and ask for another. (See Photos) I would probably purchase again. I have purchased from Wayfair before and they always try to correct any issues.
