This is a strong well made bunk bed. I wish they put extra screws though becase a few broke and I had to improvise. My boys love it and that was the dream. It is a build so prepare, it took about 6 hours to complete it looks great. The bed itself has been sturdy and the directions were easy to understand. Some issues included missing part numbers (stickers came off bed parts and fasteners are unlabeled and must be sorted prior to construction), missing fasteners (two different screw types were missing, requiring a trip to the hardware store for replacements). The biggest issue was with connecting the upper bunks together. The 30mm screw is simply too short to fit through the slot in the bed and connect to the nut on the other side. I'm happy with the bunk bed. But my kids are ecstatic. They were celebrating it for like 30 minutes. And the best part is they sleep better now. Putting it together was as difficult as advertised and due to my fitness level, I was sore for days after. The instructions were thorough, though could have been better as some steps could be merged with later ones to make the construction easier to accomplish. And the slats portion could be improved significantly as some were shorter than others. Those steps also didn't convey that the position of each wasn't fixed. So I had to measure the bed frame and put marks down to ensure I did it evenly. I would have expected markings on the frame to indicate where the slats would go. My three kiddos are super excited about their new bunkbed! It took my husband, son, and I three hours to put it together but the pictures in the directions were straight forward. We did have to take two parts apart and reassemble them as I missed the direction they had to be facing in order to attach pieces in later steps. I put a soft bath math with a grippy bottom at the foot of the ladder and tucked it under the mattresses on either side to prevent direct falls onto the lower bedframes. The storage space on the top bunk is great for storing a good amount of toys and stuffed animals; the storage drawers between the beds on the bottom are nice for smaller items. Wonderful bed! My girls love it. The only suggestion I’d make is to consider putting a king bed on the bottom instead of 2 twins because there’s only a tiny area between the 2 beds, and it’s easy to sink in that area because it’s not a distinct area that you’ll notice once blankets are on. One of the holes wasn't drilled for the drawer underneath and the screws holding the front boards are super tiny so will likely strip out very easily. The platform is thin metal and makes noise every time my son climbs down the ladder, but other than that it's very sturdy and very pretty! We been using this bunk bed for some weeks now in my kids room and overall i feel good about it. The wood feel strong and not cheap, which i worry before honestly. It come with slats so no box spring needed, that was nice and save extra hassle. Assembly take time, not hard but many parts so patience needed, my husband help me and still took afternoon. The drawers under bed are very useful, we put toys and some clothes there, room look more clean now. Ladder feel secure and guardrails are high enough, my son move a lot when sleep so this make me calm. There is slide too, kids love it a lot, they play every morning like small park. Mattress need be around 6 inch, we use that and fit fine. Later we like that it can split into two beds if kids grow. Only small thing, instructions little confusing but doable. Overall good choice.. This bed is quality! The hardware is premium, all wood pieces are perfect, all clearly labeled with very detailed instructions. It came in 3 boxes, neatly wrapped, weighing 89 lbs each.
