The rectangular shape of this pan was inspired by the Japanese makiyakinabe pans that are used for rolled omelets called tamagoyaki. The rectangular omelet can be filled and rolled evenly and then cut into slices with an identical diameter. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. This is beautiful and will be an amazing heirloom piece. I have 3 skillets from finex. I cannot recommend this brand enough. The pans are solid and heavy and truly are beautiful. Seasoning and reseasoning is something that I actually like to do to keep them non stick. These pans sit on my stove and they are what we us 95% of the time. Do it! They will last your lifetime and through your children’s lives. The pan comes unseasoned so the color is more bronze, after seasoning they will be black.
