I just purchased 2 sets of this Caphalon Cookware as gifts for my daughters. I have owned the same set for over 17 years and it is still going strong! Caphalon sells 2 space saver sets (a lower priced version and this set which is almost double the price). The difference is on the handle of each lid. The lower price version has a rubber handle that is not suitable for use in the oven. The lids on this (higher end) set have metal handles and can be used in the oven. Keep that in mind if you are considering the lower priced set as it is not as versatile. I love to cook and this has been my favorite set of cookware ever! Well the product itself is okay-ish. It looks decent for fake wood look and the pattern doesn’t repeat in the box of six planks. It fits together perfectly and with ease. There is a slight strip of discoloration along the edges on some planks. The color is a very muted unsaturated brown. One plank was damaged in shipping right in the middle of the also the bigger issue is that the rest of the boxes I ordered to complete the project are back ordered for six months. Great pots and pans for the price never know what to buy anymore but this set I have purchased several times, they last several years with 4 hungry boys that torture them, dropping them using metal utensils cutting steaks in the pan with a sharp knife and the pans still keep on cooking….end of buying new set every 3-4 years not from the pans failure but from the kids torturing them and even then it’s just a skillet or 2 not the whole set… now we have lots of great pans…use them every day!!!.
