Although it’s not recommended to place it above a bed, I needed a shelf that wasn’t too heavy to install above my dresser and hold my projector. Great shelf! Easy to install right into studs. One of the L-brackets was clearly less that 90° angle but it didn't actually make a difference. I hung it and everything is level. Color was accurate too. One thing to note: is is not a solid piece of wood. The one I received appears to be at least two pieces glued together. But, it was a pretty seamless joining so I am happy..
