This ship light is made of real wood but not sealed with poly acrylic sealer non yellowing so I lightly sanded it and added 2 coats and wow it came to life so beautiful now it will be so easy to clean the only miner problem is it’s not made for the round junction box the hole is bigger than the rectangle plate that goes over the American round junction box so we will add a decorative molding or another larger rectangular plate to the ceiling I love this unique design. When I saw this I snagged it up immediately. It will go great above a tiki bar we’re planning to build. Some of the ropes are secured with hot glue which has already come loose. Not a huge deal as it won’t impact the way they sit, although there is a lot of hot glue “strings” you might need to clean off the fixture. Very cool for a theme bar or piece. It has a lot of hang to it and it doesn’t appear to be adjustable. So check the dimensions and it will need to be in a high ceiling OR some time and care taken to modify hanging height.. Jeannie. Really love this light. I like that the rope goes up the cord vs. having a bare cord, with that being said, it does need to be a bit bunched if it’s not “long” hanging. Bought some warm lights for it, happy that it’s not integrated LED for flexibility. Relatively easy to install, a hiccup with the screw it comes with shorting if no pressure applied.
